Condition: Send email if date in SharePoint list matches today

Hopefully, someone can help.  I'm going bonkers here.  I have a Power Automate flow that passes the checks but fails to send an email.  I want the flow to send an email if the date in SharePoint list matches today's date.

The emails addresses are confirmed to be correct.

I receive this error...

I think this means everything is working but because the condition is not met (The date in the list does not match today's date), the email isn't being sent.  I check the data in the list, and it is today.

I even tried a date conversion step that I saw on earlier posts; no joy!  I am at a loss, please help.

    Hi @Nils_Stansen,

Please convert your date column in SharePoint to the same format with 'MM-dd-yyyy'.

    Best Regards,

    Kyrie

    Hi @Nils_Stansen ,

The screenshot you have shared was not an error. Instead it's shown that the condition check was false, meaning that the data in your SharePoint list is not matching to the formatdatetime() result.

You can use a compose to verify what would be the result obtained from your GetItems step. In my flow, I obtained the format as ‘yyyy-MM-dd’ instead of 'MM-dd-yyyy'. From there you can change your formatdatetime's format to make sure these two are in the same format and your flow should be good to go.

Yes, that did work.  When I downloaded the output from the test...

It looks like the data coming in from the list is in the format you described.  So, there was a mismatch of the date format.

    Thank you.

I did not go this route but I do agree that should also work.  The problem did lie in the mismatch of the date format.  Thank you for your help.

Another helpful hint.  I had several rules built into my Outlook email for incoming emails.  A couple rules unknowingly had this box checked...

    Nils_Stansen_0-1690068146357.png

That was doing something to my emails where these emails were either disappearing or not coming through.  Either way, once I deselected this option in my Outlook rules, everything worked well.  Just thought I would post this for anyone else looking for similar solutions.
