Hello,

first of all i would like to let you know that I have very basic knowledge of Sharepoint and powerapps.

My goal:

add a page in our company sharepoint where I put announcement of a nominated employee: text + employee's pic.

So I'd like to create a form where I enter employee's name (our company has a database) and nomination title (just text) and make it either take all data such as profile pic + occupation etc from database or just create a photo library of employees and take it from there. Saved form / item goes to the list which shows you employee picture (+additional info, optional)  and nomination title.

Thank you in advance for your time and help

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you want to update a SharePoint Page by using PowerApps?
I'm afraid it's not supported to make it currently.

I suggest you express your views on PowerApps Ideas Forum. Your precious advice will be very helpful for our work.

For now, PowerApps can connet with SharePoint list and library.

So as an alternative way, I suggest you use SharePoint list or library as data source. You could use form to update them.

    Hi @v-yutliu-msft,

Thank you for suggestion. The main goal is to have a page where everyone can see nominated colleagues, that means employee picture, name and nomination title. So I'd like to have a form (when creating new item) where I either upload a picture or use URL or search for a person using our database. To modify a form you need to use either infopath or powerapp. Is this explanation clearer?

    Regards

    Amrph

    Hi @Anonymous ,

According to your demands, I suggest you use gallery, edit form and new form.

The gallery control is used to display information. You could set it to display picture, name and nomination title..

The edit form is used to edit the existing record.

The new form is used to create new record for new employee.

Set their data sorce all to the sharepoint list.

If you do not want other users expect you to view edit form and new form, you could set the gallery's arrow's Visible:

    If(User().Email=...,true,false)

Here's a doc about how to create gallery, edit form and new form for your reference:
