Flow Owner has Left, can I "Save As" and make myself the new Owner (I am the Co-Owner)

The Owner has left the group but not the overall company. So their ID is still active. I am the co-owner, I have all the connections set up and everything is testing fine. However, the original owner is getting emails about the flow - I would prefer if I received the emails so that what occurs in our group is within our bounds. I am not able to select a new primary owner as our flows because "This is a non-solution flow. The owner cannot be changed." Is there a loophole - like using Save-As or something equivalent? Do I need to rebuild the flows? (I would love not to). I do not have an option to have a generic non-user 'own' the account.

Thanks!

    Hi,

One way to do this is to export and then reimport.  A little labor is required but a quick fix.

If you don't want to go the export/import route, if you can create solutions in your environment, I would create a solution(s) and then add the flows to the solution(s). You will then be able to change the owner. I don't know if something has changed, but when you import the flows into a solution, you will need to update the actions to use connection references. I am not sure if this will be any easier than the import/export method.

But one major benefit of adding your flows to solutions, when you change roles, the person who replaces you will have an easier time changing the owner.
