How to add current user to Sharepoint Group by button click or OnStart?

Is there a way to add current user to a SharePoint Group by button click or through OnStart or something similar? I have an issue where "Everyone except external users" is not working for SharePoint group permissions. It works to allow users onto the site and to use the PowerApp, but they cannot submit even though I have  "Everyone except external users" with edit in the list. The app is supposed to be open to everyone who can access the site, which is thousands of people, so I need a way to gran anyone who can use the app, automatic permission to the SharePoint list it is based on.

    Hi @mgm05e ,

     

    It's weird that the user cannot submit data even though they are in 'Everyone except external users' group and have edit permission... 

    Let's forget it and your requirement is achievable.

    The key is to use canvas to call flow and execute sharepoint rest api.

    There are many API tutorials on the web you can search to add users to a sp group.

    So the flow should be like this:

    Finally, please modify this setting.

    Choose 'use this connection' instead of 'Provided by run-only user'. The user who has this connection should have permission to add users to sp group.
