Microsoft Forms Attachments to Planner Task

Hi All,

I'd like to preface that I am very new to workflows so this may seem like a basic issue.

In short, our department has a Microsoft Form for our team members to submit requests for new products.

These requests may or may not include attachments, such as invoices etc.

We created a flow which creates a planner task for each request, although we cannot figure out how to add form attachments.
It may be worth mentioning that the form has 3 fields, each with attachment options and each attachment is associated with a different task created.

How do I configure the form to add the attachment needed to the planner task?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Re: Microsoft Forms Attachments to Planner Task

@Bradley_White These two videos below might be helpful. The first video will show you how to get your file uploads from your MS Form. You can then use the second video to see how to attach those files to your Planner task.

Although the videos don't cover your exact solution, the concepts covered in the videos should help. Feel free to upload screenshots of your progress as you build. Happy to help if you get stuck. I would recommend testing at each stage so that you can easily troubleshoot your flow instead of trying to build out your entire flow in one go.

How to Email Attachments đź–‡ to Your Planner Tasks

When you add attachments to a Planner task from your computer, the files are automatically saved in the Documents document library of the SharePoint site associated with the M365 Group of your plan. Instead of downloading email attachments to OneDrive or SharePoint just so you can add them to a Planner Task—automate it.

In this Microsoft Power Automate Tutorial—I’m going to show you how build a flow that will take your email attachments and add them to a Planner task. All you need to do is copy a link to a task, forward the email to yourself and the attachments will be saved onto SharePoint and attached to your planner task.

At the end of the video I’ll show you how to use Trigger Conditions so this automation only runs when specific conditions are met.
