General questions on feasabilty and use of Power Automate to shared mailboxes and Storage not on OneDrive

Hi all, I am quite new to Power automate, but I would like to have some questions answered:

  1. Is there some kind of Cookbook/Recipes or a good Source to learn Power Automate available for self studying
  2. Can Power Automate use other locations to store files than on OneDirve or Sharepoint?
  3. Can Power Automate call VB-Procedures or make use of MS-Scripting?
  4. Can Power Automate make use of shared Mailboxes to handle incoming mails with attachments?

Reason why I am asking:

On a shared mailbox we receive mails with attachements that...

  • need to get saved in the original fileformat (xls) to a folder outside OneDrive (company Network) to get loaded to separate MS-SQL-Server
  • need to get converted to csv and saved to a folder outside OneDrive (company Network) to get loaded to a MS-BI-Stack
  • need to get converted to csv and saved to a folder in Sharepoint/Teams (company Network)

I did a VBA-Scripting to handle if these mails are adressed to me and this script is covering already most of tasks. But for taht my PC has to run day and night. I would lik eto shift this process to be independent from personal account.

Apprecirating your input.

thanks a lot

Thomas

@tomrause - See if the below helps with the questions you have.

    1. Here is a link to the Power Automate Cookbook: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/bd-p/MPA_Cookbook
    2. You can set up a connector to your local network using the "File System" connector: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/filesystem/
    3. You can execute local code with Power Automate. Reference this article to see if this is along lines of what you are looking for: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/flow-of-the-week-local-code-execution/
    4. Power Automate has a trigger for Office 365 named "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)".
