SharePoint Integration: SP Lists' customized form is there, but my SharePoint list ignores it

I have a run-of-the-mill Sharepoint list.

I used the Customize Form option and it brought up Canvas app designer for me to customize my form.

To keep it simple, I change ONLY the background color on the Canvas app form.

Clicked "Return to Sharepoint", where it prompted me to save/publish the form.

Upon returning to Sharepoint, I clicked "New" -- it ignored my custom Canvas App form.

It's there.... if I choose Modify Custom Form it pulls it up.

I've tried clicking Use Default Form, then clicking Customize form, and it brings up the form I created.

How can I get my Sharepoint list to recognize the custom form I've created?

You've probably already done this, but have you tried clearing your browser cache and trying again?

No, I didn't think of that.  Maybe that would've gotten me there quicker.  Great suggestion.

What happened was I abandoned that approach and banged out a quick and dirty CRUD app -- up against a deadline here...
6 hours later I went to the "raw" sharepoint list and edited one of the rows -- voila! It opened in the custom form I'd done hours ago.
Shane Young did a video on Custom Forms  in Sharepoint (5 mos ago) and mentioned there can be a bit of a delay between when you publish and when Sharepoint starts using it.   It could've been every time a republished  trying to get it to "catch" it restarted the clock.   But sometime between 15 minutes and 5 hours my custom form took effect.  Maybe clearing the cache might've gotten me there sooner?

But it turned out to be one of those things that magically resolved itself.... eventually.
