As I asked in the title, is a very useful resource for changing details when information has to be exchanged in real time with interactions while running automation.

It wouldn't matter if it were some function that should be done entirely in code (allowing more customizations) or that was already ready in the program using something like "Windows Form" (like was in WinAutomation) or similar.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Rubens

The Custom Dialog is a very useful WinAutomation feature indeed, and our goal is to include a similar feature in PAD as well.

We are currently investigating ways to provide an enhanced Custom Dialog experience with more functionalities and a better UI.

we have any news regarding this? Or a alternate way to do it manually, I was guessing using a webpage with fields for get the info from respective fields (after user inputs) and put on variables, but it's a really ugly solution.

It depends a bit on your business process but there are many ways to solve this:

    - Power Automate button with user input

    - Power Apps

    - Forms

    - List

    - Teams bot

    Hello fraenK,

I already checked some of those solution, but actually theres no possibility of using Connectors and most applications at the company are legacy ones, so would be nice have a kind of "standalone" solution in the PAD application.

The biggest mistakes in regards to solution design is to extend legacy with legacy, because that's what should be replaced rather sooner then later. Power Automate has connectors to all of the mentioned solutions. Power Automate Desktop should only be the extended arm for handling legacy applications, not the command center for complex automations, that's where the "Solutions" part of Power Automate comes into play.

    Any update to this?

I have to use the WA Migration tool and SO MANY of the WAJ files to migrate have custom dialogs.  Custom dialogs are not migrated.  For the life of me I cannot understand how this functionality was removed from PAD when it was already in WA.  For the record, the MS inquisition of Softomotive has been a giant pain in my butt.
