Get MailTips V2 issue - "message": "Proxy web request failed. "

Hi All,
We are using a flow of approval process with Get MailTips V2 action to look to see if someone is out of office and to send an approval to a different approver if they are. Flow was working for a year without any issues, but since 24th April 2025 we obtained this message instead of valid information.

                "automaticReplies": {},
                "error": {
                    "message""Proxy web request failed. ",
                    "code""NoError"

We did not do any changes on our Exchange server (cloud).

I have created separated simple flow with Get MailTips V2 action only and found these obsservations:
Action works properly only if connector af the action (email) is the same like user email set to check his out of office status. I am admin and eved me does not obtain correct anwer if I try to check different mail than my own.

Is someone facing the same issue? Is it temporary issue thanks to automatics maintenance or updates on the server side or does it mean a change in Microsoft user accounts policy? Are there any options how to fix this quickly?

I found one post about this from January 2025, but there was no correct answer. HTTP request gives me an empty message is both cases, so not useful.

Thank you for a help

    I would suggest using an HTTP request to the Graph API to get this information. I find it more reliable. The call is GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/users/{user-email}/mailboxSettings

    Included in the response is this information:
        "automaticRepliesSetting": {
            "status": "disabled",
            "externalAudience": "none",
            "internalReplyMessage":

    Thank you for a HTTP Get suggestion, I tried and it works only if I check my own email (the same email in connector and HTTP GET action). If I try to check different email, HTTP request fails because Access is denied. This leads me to think about permission to read information from user acounts. ... But as I mentioned at the begining, everything works up to 24.4.2025.
    I am curious if Microsoft could change something in background and this will not work anymore.

    I have the same issue starting April 23rd. I would like to avoid granting myself read permissions to another user's mailbox. Hoping someone finds a solution. Working around it for now.

    I am having this same problem and was about to post about it. Unsure how to do David's suggestion.

    Thank you David for your suggestion.
    I tried this already, however this works if I check my own email only. If I try to check another email, output is "Access denied". So, this is my problem - I have lost  suddenly permission to obtain this information (out of office status) despite I am administrator. I also tried using power shell to set the permission, but no success.
    It is strange, because in our company emails work fine, everyone gets info if is sending email to someone else that he is out of office. From unknown reason, only power automate cannot get out of office info.

    Hi all,

    I think the problem has been fixed – at least partially.
    It doesn't work like it did before, but if there is no automatic reply, no message is displayed. Previously, there was an object message that was empty.
    I can now access the message again for employees who have set up an automatic reply.
    Can you confirm this?

    Kind regards,
    Fabian
