manually Move email to inbox folder and automatically save attachments from there?

I receive some emails  in my inbox that have an application form attached.

There is no way to differentiate these emails from others so i have created a mailbox folder called application forms where i drag these emails to.

From there i would like to use power automate to automatically save the attachments of these emails to onedrive.

I have tried for many hours and can not get it to work.

if i just select the trigger as an email arriving to my inbox, the automation works and the forms are saved (along with all my other email attachments which i do not want) but as soon as i specify that the email is in the "application forms" folder it does not work. Can anyone help with this?

i have tried to do the same on zapier and also not possible.

    Hi @cherryjam,

You say that you cannot differentiate the emails, can you differentiate the attachment?

Unfortunately not. The emails come from various addresses in various formats and ste labelled differently

So, I think there is a work around that you could use, however, it's not as clean as I would like however, providing that you use Outlook Desktop App, it should work. (I haven't tried this so don't hold it against me if it doesn't).

It is utilising Quick Steps, set up a quick step so that it forwards the email to yourself  and change the subject to something that you wouldn't receive normally  i.e. "Application Form Forwarding Email to automatically save in OneDrive"  or whatever you think is appropriate.

Then set up the automation based on when a new email is received, updating the advance settings to only work when the email is received from you and with that specific subject.

It has some manual intervention but I can't think how else to get around it

Sorry, just to add, you will need to click this quick step on the email when you receive it initially so that it automatically forwards it to you with the given subject
