Setup automatic replies not working

I have a flow that I use to block time on my calendar, email my coworkers that I am out and setup out of office replies.  The setup out of office replies piece has stopped working.

I start with Get mail tips for a mailbox. And you can see that Automatic Replies is null.

Then, I have a condition that says, if the AutomaticReply is null, setup automatic reply. This was working but has stopped working.  I can't figure out why.

The problem is in the condition.  It is evaluating to false even though AutomaticReplies is null.

I have tried 3 things in this post - https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Check-if-the-automaticReplies-is-equals-to-null/m-p/494433#M61330 - but none of them work.

I'd like to update with some additional information.  In testing this whole thing, I've taken screenshots at different points in time.  Sometimes, the output of the Get mail tips looks like this...with no message, just squiggly brackets.

But other times, it looks like this...where there is a message with quotes.  The message with quotes has a length of 1 even though there is nothing at all between the quotes, which I don't understand.

    Hi @FreeRangeDingo, what is the dynamic content you are evaluating in your expression? Can you try the following instead:

    body('Get_mail_tips_for_a_mailbox_(V2)')['value'][0]['automaticReplies']?['message']

    Thanks, let me know if this fixes your issue.

    If this doesn’t work, I would suggest passing your dynamic content into a “Compose” to view what your condition is trying to evaluate.

    The dynamic content being evaluated is the automaticReplies.  I did pass the content from automaticReplies into a variable.

    And as I mentioned in my edits, automaticReplies has a length of 1.

    Okay no problem - can you try the expression I’ve provided? This will evaluate the length of the message within the AutomaticReplies instead.

    I used your expression as shown here.

    It still evaluates incorrectly, probably because the length is 1 not 0.  I still don't understand why the length is 1.

    Edit to this message - if you use the following expression on the left side of the condition:

    empty(body('Get_mail_tips_for_a_mailbox_(V2)')?['value'][0]['automaticReplies']?['message'])

    And change the right to = true

    This should evaluate whether there is any content in the message attribute. The automaticReplies contains an attribute called Message which counts as 1.

    That worked. Do you have any idea why sometimes the automatic reply looked like this ....

    "automaticReplies": {}

    versus

    "automaticReplies": {

     "message": ""

       }

    My original flow worked for a while when "automaticReplies": {}.  Then it stopped working when it changed to the later.
