Mentions not working in timeline note

Hello,

I followed the guide posted on https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/use-mention-collaborating-your-team-using-notes-jakub-homola-2gs8c/ but the @mentions thing is not popping up when I create a new note in a timeline.

Is there something else I can check?

    Hi @Embloom-bart ,

Please take a look at this doc.

    Hi, @v-xiaochen-msft

The environment was created with Dynamics365 apps, I got the D365 Sales app for example from the start, I later installed the Customer Service app

I got the same issue as well, I followed all the steps, and I got Dynamic 365 license set to Yes, is it because I'm in the developer environment?

Using D365 Sales, I also followed the same post as Embloom-bart but was able to get the @ mention user search to work in the note activity body. But NO notification record was created for the user mentioned so NO in-app notification for them in the notification center when the note was saved.

I'm sure there is no need to manually create the notification record using the note @ mention method, right?!

The @mention feature currently only works with v1 of the rich text editor. Try appending this to the app URL and seeing if it works:

    &flags=FCB.ReplaceRTEv1WithRTEv2=false

If so, you can then disable the new rich text editor within the app settings.

I have the same issue. In-app notifications are set on for the App and I switched the modern RichtTextEditor control to No. I'm able to use the @ sign to pick a user but the user doesn't get a bell notice. It would be great if someone could confirm this is a bug.

I did find a known issue logged 6/21/24 that shows as Active but no notes/additional information.

    Leaving these here for reference:

I'm also not able to get this to work either.  Also - @JustRhonda - the known issue link isn't working for me. are there any updates on that?  can anyone else get to it?  thanks!

Just got off the phone with Microsoft.
    1. Make sure you are set to monthly release channel under behavior in your environment product settings.
    2. Turn off save and then turn back on the notification setting under collaboration in your environment product settings.
    3. The turn off and turn back on notification and set everything to enable a modern rich text editor enabled in the model driven app settings under features.

I'm still stuck and haven't had any luck. I've tried every suggestion on here and have every setting set correctly. I've also configured the correct permissions as per this article: https://community.powerplatform.com/forums/thread/details/?threadid=c4759543-fec2-452b-8383-26e49cbe0ec0

I can tag/mention a user in a note and post, but they aren't being notified. There is no data being written to the notification table, so I assume this is where things are breaking down.

Anyone have any further suggestions, or is it assumed to be a bug at this point?
