Hi all,

just made my first app with power app 3 screen Excel. Made it look in 4 different excel documents and copied the first 3 screen and made refer to those Excel files.

As a total new guy to making apps i want to know what i did. Where can i learn more about the language? What does the code mean in the formula area? what are the available commands?

Where doe i start or what kind of basic cours should i follow to know more about coding these apps? Yes there are a lot of self studie courses from MS but where can i find the basics?

Thank

First of all welcome to the Power Apps community! You definately came to the right place to learn more! I would start by getting an idea for a simple App. You can also start with Shane Young videos on youtube. He has a great channel where he shows you how to do any number of tasks in Power Apps. WarrenBelz (Top Author on this forum) has a great blog about Power Apps topics. I will try to find his link somewhere and post it below. Of course this is a greate place to ask questions when you get stuck as well. There is alot to learn but once you get going you will enjoy it and start to learn faster and faster.

    Hi @PetervL,

The above mentioned resources are a great way to start and familiarize yourself with the Power Platform. You will quickly be able to build your own solutions step by step. Once you hit a roadblock in your development, you can try to troubleshoot the issue online (community forum, YouTube, blogs, Ms docs...).

A bit of additional information about the language: You will be using the Power Fx language which is an Excel-like programming language. Specific information on Power Fx can be found here including a list of all of the different available functions.

Of course don't try to memorize all of the functions by hard. 😉 You will get to know most of them when you need them in your applications.

    Welcome to the community!
