I have a document library in Sharepoint and a approval flow in Power Automate.. I want to edit the word document to insert the approval details using power automate.
Limitation is that I can't use any third party connectors. How to achieve this without using any third party connectors like encodian etc..

Yes this is possible. First your will need to add Citation Placeholder in your word Document template. For this, you can open your Word document, go to References, Click on "Insert Citation", then select "Add a New Placeholder", and give it a meaningful name.

Here's an example of a Placeholder:

Now you can start building the flow. In your flow, after the Approval step, you will be adding a "Populate a Microsoft Work template" action. In this step you will be selecting Dynamic Content in the previous step to populate the ProjectStartDate placeholder (this is an example). Select the desired parameters from the Advanced Parameters drop down.

Add a Create File action, select the site, folder and give your file a name:
And that's it, you will have your file populated with approval details and saved in a Document Library you will specify.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Nandit
