Email a summary of all new entries

Hello,

Very new to Flow!

I am trying to build a flow that will email a list of all the new entries created today that were added to an active job list.

I have set the schedule up properly, but I am having trouble figuring out what to do from here. I can set it up so it sends an email for each new entry, but I'd like to consolidate it to just one email with all the entries.

Here is the schema share point list I am trying to send info about:

ID - Created - Customer Name - Size - Quantity - Description - Agency.

This list has 50 or so entries, with about 6 new entries a day and then 6 come off.

Just want to alert my people of the new entries.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi @AndyOSB,

According to your scenario, it seems that you are trying to get items in a list that created today and send all the items within one email.

Please try to use the action “Create HTML table” in your flow.

I have created a flow on my side to test this issue, the flow is configured likes below.

An action “Filter array” is used to get the items that created today.

In the action “Send an email”, please click the show advanced options and make sure select Yes for the Is HTML field.

I copied your instructions to a T and it ends up sending me an email for every job that is on the list wit hthe out put below. In your apply to each box, it has send an email. Don't I want to do a new action outside of that?

I tried doing that but I am not sure how to reference the previous actions output (the purple out put icon is not in the dynamic content expression box)

I must have done something wrong or there was an error in your instruction.

I tried your instructions but I end up getting an email for every entry on the entire job list. Each email has the following with relevent info for that entry.

I think the send email needs to be outside of the apply to each. I try that however and I dont get the dynamic content option like when I have the send an email within the apply to each action.

Hi @AndyOSB,

“Send an email” action should be configured within the apply to each under “Create HTML table” action. If you put it out of the apply to each, you won’t be able to get the dynamic content.

How did you configure the function for the Filter array action? The function I was used would filter the items that created today.

While seems that you are getting all the items in the list. If possible, please show me a screenshot of your flow configuration.
