Hello everyone,

I would like to convert a date in long format (for example: Wednesday, February 14, 2024) to ISO format in order to create an Outlook event; formatDateTime doesn't work for that. Do you have a solution to suggest, please?

Thanks a lot !

Thank you for your reply but in this topic it's from a short date; here, I have to convert a long date format to a short date (ideally in ISO format). In addition, I'm in France so the date I have is : mercredi 14 février 2024.

Hey @ValentinOff If the Date is return in French, You will need to use a Translator https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/flow-text-translation  if the Date and then pass it to the formatDateTime(' Wednesday, February 14, 2024', 'dd-MM-yyyy')

    Hi @ValentinOff ,
Below are the steps to convert long date format into ISO 8061:

    1. Obtain the Long-Format Date: Begin by retrieving the desired date in long format using the "Compose" action or any suitable method.

    2. Convert to ISO Format: Utilize the "Convert time zone" action to convert the date to ISO format.

    3. Format as ISO-Formatted Date: Apply the "FormatDateTime" function to ensure the date is correctly formatted in ISO format.

@S-Venkadesh - Can you confirm if it works with French text? "mercredi 14 février 2024"

    Hi,

Thank you all for your feedback.

I finally found an expression that allows me to do what I wanted:

formatDateTime(parseDateTime(varDate, 'fr-FR', 'dddd d MMMM yyyy')) where "varDate" is, for example, "mercredi 14 février 2024". That works perfectly.
