Premium Planner plans in Power Automate

Hello Experts,

I have a Planner Premium.
When I tried to automate this Planner using Power Automate and the Planner connector, it did not work properly.

In the Plan Id action, the Planner with a premium license does not automatically appear in the property dropdown.
For Planners without a premium license, they do appear automatically in the property dropdown and the actions work correctly.

Could you please advise this case?

Thank you so much!
ROSE

This behavior is expected with many Planner Premium plans because the classic Planner connector in Power Automate primarily supports standard Microsoft 365

    group-based Planner plans.

Premium plans use a newer backend architecture and often do not appear automatically in the Plan ID dropdown.

    The best workaround is usually:
    • manually enter the Plan ID,
    or
    • use Microsoft Graph API instead of the native Planner connector for Premium plans.

I also tried to manually enter the PlanId but still not working

    Hi  ,

I seems that it is hitting the limitation, try to use a standard (non-Premium) Planner plan if the automation relies heavily on the Planner connector actions and triggers.

    Thank you @11manish

It works properly for the basic Planner.
I'm looking for a way to create an automation for Planner Premium.

This is a confirmed limitation. The standard Planner connector in Power Automate only works with basic plans. Planner Premium runs on the Project for the web backend and the Graph API only supports reading (GET) Premium plans, not creating or updating tasks on them.

The only way to automate Planner Premium via Power Automate is through the Dataverse connector using the Project for the web tables (requires Power Automate Premium license). The key table is msdyn_projecttask.

You can use Project Schedule APIs via the Perform an unbound action connector action to create and update tasks. The flow requires creating an Operation Set ID first.
