Automate send an emal v2 used to work quite nicely with properly formatted hyperlink, now I'm getting outlook or teams wrapper that malforms the url

so I have used the View item

quite successfully for a couple of years. Suddenly this week users started complaining the links didn't work. On analysis I find that depending on the context, I'm getting wrappers around the correctly formatted url. On viewing the communication via outlook I get an outlook wrapper, and on teams a teams wrapper. See outlook example:

https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox/id/**https://hostname.sharepoint.com/sites/Reconciliations/Orders/7P620%20-%20Business%20and%20Finance%20586**

I find that if I dewrap the url between the asterisks it opens quite nicely.

1. can anyone tell me why my hyperlinks are getting wrapped?

2. is there a way to make Teams and Outlook stop adding the wrapper to my hyperlinks?

Regards,

/Robin

and just like that, whatever was causing the url wrapper is gone... sigh. I'll take it!

and now the wrappers are occuring yet agan, obscuring the url and thus breaking the links.

Somebody in a similar discussion phrased it rather whittily, M$, you didn't drop the ball, you lost it completely!
