Hi, how can we fetch the name of the user recorded in the LastModifiedByUser field of CDS entities? Thanks.
Do you want to see the username in Excel? If so, you will need to enable the Design button. Then click Design and you can select and show the field.
Hi Mr. Dang, I would like to see the name, like John Smith, in my PowerApp.
Thanks,Giacomo
At the moment the two user fields have Guid values like:
I have found the way! Here is an example, but you can of course use the LastModifiedBy text instead of TextBoxUserId.Text
Office365Users.UserProfile(TextBoxUserId.Text).DisplayName
Please note the the article in 1. above mentions only the user email as a parameter for the UserProfile function, but the UserId works too!
I was wondering that in future the Application User entity should contain the user information and the AD identity is there. That would make sense for the CDS.
