Triggering Twilio Power Automate Flow from Customer Journey

Hello-

I am a solution engineer with Twilio.org. I have a few questions about Power Automate + Twilio.

1. I have a flow that sends SMS using Twilio connector. How do I trigger this from Marketing Customer Journey
2. When is the native Twilio integration for Customer Journeys launching

    Hi @Gunjan-twilio ,

     

    I am not familiar with D365 marketing and whats available out of the box but you can create a custom channel to call an HTTP endpoint.  Your flow will need an HTTP trigger. Here is more info.

     

    There is also native integration with Telesign SMS as a channel here.  Just letting you know as well.

    @eric-cheng , Thanks for your reply. Here is the use case

    1. Create a flow that will send a SMS using Twilio account

    2. We define a Segment in Dynamics 365 Marketing

    3. Create a Customer Journey 

    4. The Customer Journey sends an email based on certain conditions (OOTB)

    5. The Customer Journey sends and SMS but there is no OOTB SMS

    6. For SMS, we trigger the Power Automate Flow created in the first instance

    7. There is no way to trigger that so, we create an Activity?

    8. In Power Automate is there a way to trigger when an Activity is created?

    Not sure if this answers your question as the post was a littke ambigious.

     

    There are many ways of triggering flows using a variety of different triggers that comes with different connectors.   For example, you can trigger a flow that sends an SMS when:

     

    • When a record is created/updated/deleted in a database
    • Email is received
    • When a http request is received
    • When a file is created
    • A survey was submitted

    These are just a handful of examples from the hundreds of connectors available.
