How to close a browser tab by clicking the “X” button in Power Automate Desktop?

I am using Power Automate Desktop and I want to close a specific browser tab by clicking on the X button (as shown in the screenshot).

I have tried using Click UI element in window, but it is capturing more than just the X button. I also tried using Send Keys (like ^w or ^{F4}), but it didn’t work for me.

Can someone guide me on how to properly close this tab using Power Automate Desktop?

Hi @CU12050101-0,

You can attach the tab using Launch new Microsoft edge browser with using url,title or foreground and rename that with different name and using close browser to close that tab as shown in below image.

Send keys should work.

So with holding Ctrl and pressing 'W'

Like so: {Control}({W})

Make sure you have focused on the browser before your Send keys -action
