Hi,

i am adding list in a page using webpart on sharepoint online modern view,

but list looks like old, "Add new item" link displays at the bottom of the list.

but i want it at the top with modern view.

You cannot move the Add new item to the top of the SharePoint List webpart out of the box. You do have a couple of custom options however, including:

Use jQuery to inject the Add new item link to the top of the webpart (source)
Add a custom Add new item HTML link that points to the NewForm.aspx page, at the top of the Item List webpart, example:

<a onclick='NewItem(event, "/Lists/YourList/NewForm.aspx"); return false;' href="javascript&colon;//">Add new item</a>
