Hello,

I've created a flow to create a csv file of filtered data. The csv file needs to not contain  any thing the status of Inactive OR Service. I thought that the filter query would as following but it doesn't work then thought to add condition which causes the flow to error out. Any assistance would be warmly welcomed 🙂

@shelleyb It looks like you are using the Get Items action which returns items from a SharePoint list—not a CSV file. Can you confirm if you are looking to return items from a SharePoint list or a CSV file?

    Hi @creativeopinion

The flow creates a CSV file from the SharePoint List, the CSV file needs to not included 'Inactive' or 'Service' in the status column.

@shelleyb In that case, you need the Get Files (properties only) action.

You will need to use the internal column name of your Status column. Keep in mind that the internal column name may not always match the name displayed in your Sharepoint list. If you aren't sure how to get the Internal Column name, you can refer to this section of one of my YT Tutorials.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @creativeopinion

Gentle Reminder the flow is set to Get Items from SharePoint list, filter to exclude 'Inactive' and 'Service' and create CSV file from the outputs. The issue is the filter on the Get Items doesn't appear to be working. The CSV file has ALL data rather than a filtered view of the data.

@shelleyb Sorry I misread your prev comment. I thought you were referring to the CSV file. How many items do you have in your list? Have you turned on pagination? To troubleshoot your issue, I would recommend clearing out the Limit Columns by View field and turning on Pagination.

Also, try the and operator instead of the or operator.

Here's my SP list I'm using in my demo.

I would also recommend adding a Compose action after the Get Items action to count the number of items returned. The Filter Query should filter out your items where the Status isn't equal to Inactive or Service—the Condition action would be redundant.

Run a test. Review the output of the Compose action.
