I am trying to connect Power Automate to a Private App in Hubspot. When defining the security permissions for the custom connector, these are my settings:

As stated here: Authentication Overview | HubSpot API

I then establish the connection using the value of "Bearer {Private app access token} and test out retrieving contacts but I get the following error:

Has anybody been able to create a custom connection to a private app in Hubspot? If so, how did you go about it? Any help is appreciated!

I was able to create a custom connection using Basic Authentication and including the api key in the query parameters but I want to use the private apps this time as it is more secure and has other features such as the log.

FYI as per the Hubspot API Key page
Guess this means we all need to convert from basic or API Key security to OAuth before the end of November 2022 😞

@Welbywelb Oh man, thanks for the info! Guess I should start switching things over now...Not really sure how to do that but I'll give it my best shot!

I have posted an article explaining how to set up a public app to do this. The example used is for mass contact creation, but the approach is generally the same apart from the scopes and specific API actions you require. Other OpenAPI definitions can be imported from here for your use case.
