Hi all - I'm very much a Power Automate/Power BI newbie. My company maintains a Power BI report that tracks servers based on the version of OS (think like Windows 2012 or Linux RHEL 9). I've been charged with creating a means of aiding in our "End Of Life" processes for the various OS versions. The way it's done now is that you regularly export data from Power BI that shows active servers, filter by platform, and then compare against the platform tags and request input on when they owners expect the server can be decommissioned. This process is done weekly to track which servers get turned off over time. This is a very labor intensive process when you have thousands of servers and have to keep up with the regular updates.
All that said, can you recommend a good pathway to help automate this process? I think the sticking point is maintaining a pathway for server owners to be able to update their decom date as time goes on. Thoughts?
If you don't expect mass updates, and if you can afford the Power App licenses you can consider using a PowerApp visual in Power BI to collect the feedback and write it back into your data source.
