Create sharepoint News post/web part action

Hello,

Is it possible to create an action that automatically creates a news post on Sharepoint site? In other words, I have a document library. If proporties in the library or files are created/modified in that library, I would like a flow to create a News post on site's home page to inform visitors. Is this possible?

    Hi @  GPnmulder,

Creating a new post on sharepoint site is not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

    Hi @GPnmulder,

Maybe you can try to use the REST API from SharePoint to do that, you can use the HTTP Request action to call this REST APIs sending an access token to proceed with the right permissions to create posts on your news list.

I`ll try to create an example to send to you.

    Regards,

    Douglas

Thank you for the replies. It occured to me that the 'Activity' web part already included as part of the site performs the basic functionality I am after: a way for users coming to the site to be aware of what has changed recently.

However, it doesn't seem to be working quite as expected or configured. I can configure how many recent activities to display. But, no matter what value I input (>4), it only ever displays at most the last 4 activities/changes. If I change it to < 3, it displays that number of items, but it will not display more than 4. Am I missing something?
