Dynamic content disappeared from an existing flow

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue to mine or knows what may have caused it.

This week i was editing an existing flow, one that has been built and used successfully for almost 5 months, and i noticed that all of my dynamic content in my 'Add row in to a table' (excel) blocks had vanished. I currently have 5 different blocks for 'add row in to a table' and all of the blocks were completely empty. These are also not blocks that i've needed to view or edit for weeks, even months as they've been working fine.

I know the flow was working successfully on tuesday then i went to view it wednesday and copied one of them to my clipboard to paste it in to a different part of the flow and the one i pasted was empty. This prompted me to check all of them and they were all empty!

I know this couldn't be a manual error as it would be incredibly time consuming to delete each individual piece of dynamic content from all of the 5 blocks, plus they'd been saved weeks before. Has any one experienced something similar and know what caused it, or is this a bug in power automate? I've checked other flows using this function and all seem fine. I'm just concerned it might happen again as it was pretty time consuming adding them all back in again :(

Any advise or support would be appreciated.

Many thanks
Sophie

    Hi Sophie,

From what you mentioned, I think it’s possible this was a bug that appeared when you opened the flow in the new designer. If that’s the case, before modifying the flow, I’d suggest turning off the new designer and checking how it appears in the legacy one, if you notice the same issue in the legacy designer, I'd suggest to create a ticket with Microsoft.

I understand that a new version control feature for Power Automate is rolling out soon. This will help us avoid headaches with flow versions and drafts in Power Automate. You’ll be able to see when the latest changes were made and roll back if required.

    Hope this helps.
