Flow publish fails with WorkflowOperationParametersExtraParameter: missing 'item/source' parameter

Hi all,

I am getting a publish-time error on the Save to AI builder feed action (I renamed the step to Save to Invoice Model). The flow saves as a draft but Publish fails.

Error Banner: Flow save failed with code 'WorkflowOperationParametersExtraParameter' and message 'The API operation does not contain a definition for parameter 'item/source'.'

Why I think it is this action

  • If I delete this action, the flow publishes successfully.
  • When I add the action back and rebind fields, Publish fails again with the same error.

Code View for the action

{
  "type": "OpenApiConnection",
  "inputs": {
    "parameters": {
      "recordId": "72571c26-b8e6-4ab2-a40f-9c75b77ddb9d",
      "item/predictionInput/base64Encoded": "@base64(body('Get_File_to_Process_Content'))",
      "item/predictionInput/@odata.type": "#Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.expando",
      "item/inputName": "@variables('NewFilename')",
      "item/predictionOutput": "@outputs('Extract_Invoice_Data')?['body/responsev2/predictionOutput']"
    },
    "host": {
      "apiId": "providers/Microsoft.ProcessSimple/operationGroups/aibuilder",
      "connection": "shared_commondataserviceforapps-3",
      "operationId": "aibuilderfeedback_addfiletofeedbackloop"
    }
  }
}

I do not see item/source anywhere here.

What I have tried

  • Reinserted the action and reselected all fields.
  • Tried mapping only the base64 with body('Get_File_to_Process_Content')?['$content'].
  • Searched the full flow definition for item/source in Code view.
  • Recreated the connection reference.

Extra context

  • This was working last week. I did not change this step since then.
  • The error only appears when I publish. Draft saves succeed.

Screenshots of the error banner and the action settings are attached.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

    Many times, if a column has been removed or even an input it can sort of be.. orphaned in the Flow.

    Please try this.
    Top Right, click off new UI, go to the old one.

    Open your Inputs and make sure its not
    Click on the Save to invoice model and open advanced, you may see that weird column. Make sure NOthing is typed in there.

    Save and refresh, it should go away.

    If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!
