I've encountered an issue today that makes no sense.
I've imported a solution to a new environment as managed. Nice and normal here.
I have an unmanaged solution in this environment, so I created a new model driven app in the unmanaged solution.
From the model driven app, I created a new form for each entity.
I happened to be looking at the managed solution for one of the entities and saw that the new form has been added to the managed solution.
Has anyone experienced this before? It makes no sense with how managed and unmanaged solutions are meant to work.
The screen shots show the base solution in our dev environment. The managed solution in the new environment. The managed solution in classic mode for the the new environment.
I see what you are saying, and that is how I would expect it to work. However, that is not how it has worked for this environment.
I have imported a managed solution to the environment. Regardless of what I do in this environment, the managed solution should not change.
Then in an unmanaged solution I added new forms. These new forms are now showing in the managed solution somehow.
It doesn't make sense and shouldn't be possible. I've logged a support ticket with Microsoft about it, but am curious if anyone else has experienced this.
Hi @Anonymous ,
It is designed like this.
Usually, we create apps in the solution of A environment, and then import it into the B environment (managed).
At this point, in B environment, the user cannot edit the managed solution.
So, although we import the solution into the same environment, it is not recommended.
