Power Apps Collection based on SP list does not show a user in a People/Group Column

Dear Power Apps Experts,

I need your help! I have a collection based on a SP list which I am then trying to filter by an Employee column in the SP list to match the user email so when the launch the app they only see their own data:-

But the collection just shows Record where the Display name is in the SP list, any Ideas how I can filter the collection based on user matching the displayed name in the Employee column based on the year selected in the drop down matching the Year in the SP list/Collection?

Thanks for the code to help me here!

Emma

    U will have to create a new column in collection with Employee email id

    I have added in the SP list a new column "EmailAddress" as a single text type and typed in email address of the users, but I still can get the filter to work - Filter(
    ColYear,
    EmailAddress = User().Email && Year(Year) = Dropdown1.Selected.Value
    )

    Where ColYear is the collection based on the SP list and the new email address column (single line of text) is EmailAddress

    Hi Fazal,

    I do this on the screen OnVisible property:-

    ClearCollect(
    ColYear,
    (Filter(
    'Leave Entitlement',
    EmailAddress = User().Email
    ))
    )

    Where Leave Entitlement is the SP list and The Single Text line column is EmailAddress

    Thanks Emma

    Its just a date column in the SP List "01/01/2023" or "01/01/2024" which the collection gets and I use a dropdown for the user to select the holiday year they want to see the data for:-

    This is working, the problem is when i need to filter the data of user based on the year selected in the drop down
