Greetings, I have a Flow that was working well with the past SharePoint connection but when I changed the SharePoint connection now it is not working and is giving me this error:

The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Send_an_email_(V2)' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'emailMessage/To' is required to be of type 'String/email'. The source type/format 'Array' of the value '[{"@odata.type":"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser","Claims":"i:0#.f|membership|linad@************.org","DisplayName":"Lina Delgado","Email":"linad@*************.org","Picture":"https://b****************.sharepoint.com/sites/BW-Operations/_layouts/15/UserPhoto.aspx?Size=L&AccountName=linad@b***************.org","Department":null,"JobTitle":null}]' is not convertible to type/format 'String/email'.

Any suggestion will be appreciated 🙂

    Hi @lcdelgado

It looks like an object (created by or modified by) has been set up in the email recipient (To) parameter. We need to pass the valid email address of the user in that parameter.

In the below example, I am sending an email to the person who has created the record in the SharePoint list. Here I am taking the email address of the 'Created by' user, in the same way pls modify the email action to include the email address of the user as per your need:

    Thanks

Well the situation is that I can't use that field because it would only send it to me, it must be the people in the assignee field.

    Hi @lcdelgado

I would request you to pls share the screenshot of SharePoint list, I need to know the column internal name & data type of assignee field. Is assignee field a single or multiuser field? Pls share the details.

    Thanks

    Hi @lcdelgado

There is a minor change, in "Select" action you need to set the assignee email address in value field. In the current setup, you have assigned "assignee" object instead of email address.

Pls modify the "Select" action as per the below screenshot:

    Hi @lcdelgado

Looks like there are some records for which Assigner is not set or null. To get rid of this issue, please add the filter query in the "Get items" action to filter out those records:

    Filter query used here:

    Assignee ne null

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

    Hi @lcdelgado

It seems some email addresses are invalid in Assigner field 😊. It might be the case that those users have left the organization or are inactive. Please validate Assigner field for those users which are failed in the flow.

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks
