Grant access to an item or folder action asks for email verification then code verification, when external user try to access that folder

I have a flow, where I am using grant access to an item or a folder action to provide edit access to particular folder from sharepoint library.

But when the recipients(  recipients are not from the organization AD directory ) receive mail, then it is first asking for email verification and then send code for further verification.

Can we avoid that email verification step to make it as like as we are sharing files with specific people in SharePoint online site (just code verification).

Help will be appreciated.

    Hi @Bharti_Satpute ,

I assume that this cannot be “avoided” as this is a part of the user verification. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/external-sharing-overview#what-happens-when-users-share

If you want to simply work with a simple code you can think about using ananonymous link referred as well in the article in chapter Recipients who don't need to authenticate

For this you could use the SharePoint API : https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/Create-sharing-link-for-a-file-or-folder-in-SharePoint-for/idi-p/194595/page/2#comments

    Hi @GeorgiosG

    Thanks for reply.

Organization wants to avoid anonymous link.

Can we use any Graph API or SharePoint API to share a library folder or file with specific external user? Please guide on this?

    Hi @Bharti_Satpute ,

you can try it with the SP API I sent you in the post before.

Or one of these two will help you out, but as I mentioned, I don’t think that you can avoid this verification step.
