Approvals Question

Hi All,

I need a 'push' on something.

I have a list of Approvers that I want to send an approval. I want to send each approver a separate approval/separate task for each individual on the list.

The current behavior, which is not my desired, is that approver 1 has to approve before approver 2 receives their approval.

I'm assuming I'm misunderstanding something simple.

Hi @pguth Do all approvers approve the same item? Is the flow only run for one item a a time?

@bradleyhorton No, they don't approve the same item.

@pguth  are you able to provide any dummy data to show what you are trying to achieve?

@bradlehorton  So are you wanting me to send you some data for you to test on? I can do that, if that's what you are requesting.

Essentially, all I'm doing is looping through a list of 'Approvers' and then assigning each of them separate Approval tasks.

Please. I'm just struggling to picture exactly what it looks like so I can replicate and see if I can come up with anything useful.

@bradleyhorton it turned out that I was misunderstanding the 'Wait for an Approval' step. It was performing exactly as its name. In other words, the 'wait for an approval' was stopping the flow of approvals until the first person took action on the approval they were sent and then the loop would send the next approval, and so on.

Once I took the 'wait for approval' component out, things worked as I initially desired/expected.
