How to integrate PAD with Microsoft Dataverse

Hi, How integrations with Power Automate Desktop (RPA) and Dataverse are done?

read a file csv, json and creating records on Dataverse.

Is it using the WebApi?

I thought calling an HTTP request Cloud Flow with PAD (power automate desktop) and passing all data to it... and be the Power Automate Cloud Flow who saves the data in Dataverse.  Is this the way to do this?  is it bad practice?

thx

    Hi @PabloRoldan

Definitely you will have more options in the Cloud flows because there are direct connectors to the Dataverse available.

If you have no choice other than using Desktop Flows, only then use that.

One another thread going on for how to do this is here.

    Hi @PabloRoldan ,

Currently there is not direct option or actions available for dataverse from PAD, but from flow you can able to do by using dataverse actions even triggers also there.

Else you have to go with invoke web api , by passing the body and headers you can able to hit into dataverse.

    Regards

The recommended route would be to start in Cloud Flow, pass whatever data you need to PAD, then using an output variable, you can pass the final data back to Cloud Flow and then update a Dataverse Table etc.

You can also, as you mentioned, use WebAPI in PAD to push any data to a Dataverse Table etc.

There are some other options as well, but really depends on how complex of an approach you are comfortable with. I think the Cloud Flow to Desktop Flow back to Cloud Flow is the easiest though.
