Charts (pie and column) appear in web version but not in desktop app

I have a Canvas app that has several pie and column charts displayed on printable canvas screens.  They work perfectly in the web version of the app, but when utilizing the desktop version, they do not appear.  Is this a PowerApps quirk?  The chart data all derives from local Collections, not an SP list (ignore the stupid header names).
