Action "Get File Path Part" returns empty variables

Using PAD, I found an action called "Get File path part" which seems like it will parse the user input string for me. That's great! However, the variables it returns are empty. Not sure how to proceed. Please see below...On the bottom right corner, you'll see that the UserInput variable is populated with a UNC file path. The variables are empty though. How do I proceed?

Did you include the filename WITH extension?

Yes, I've tried both UNC network path and file from my laptop. In both cases, the action variables produced are blank.

\\tfs.Toyota.com\Support Programs\Split Pages\Colorado Rain 2021 SurplusAvail_$1,971.93.pdf

Hi @treddfw

That's strange to see because it gives me the desired output for the same inputs as yours.

Worked fine even for the network path

I am using PAD version 2.12
One thing I would like to tell you is that members on the forum are facing issues with 2.14 version for various features and one of them is related to actions for files and folders.

Thanks for the heads up and for testing. I think it has something to do with having to escape the "$" and other non-regular characters. For now, I'm moving forward as a limitation of my flow and will come back to this at a later time.

But the same escape character worked as seen in my screenshots :). So could possibly be a version issue.
Will hear back from you what you came up with.

Works in 2.14
But if it for some reason can't find the file, it will return an empty result.
Did NOT "escape" the $ or the ~ in my test.

I don't even have these paths on my machine but yet the action returned the correct results.

So its not even the situation that the file should be present on the machine.

Want to know @treddfw what is it in your case so that any other member facing the same issue in future can be pointed out to your fix in this post :).

I'm using version 2.14.217.21314
The action works fine on files/folders where there are no unusual characters. I see this as an edge case as most of the folders/files I've reviewed don't have anything but letters, numbers and spaces. I must move forward with other tasks.
However, I greatly appreciate the help! I'm new to using PAD and glad to be a new member of this supportive group.
