How can I pass a parameter when debugging a canvas app?

The problem is that the app is not working as expected when there is a parameter passed to it (for ex: request number).

I want to debug it, but the default, generated debug link does not contain the parameter that I need.

If I add the parameter to the end of the link, it does not work either.

I'm using the "Connect user" feature of the monitor where I send a non-admin users a link to the app to debug.

To pass a parameter when debugging a canvas app, you can add the parameter to the URL that you use to launch the app. Here are the steps to follow:

Open the app in the Power Apps Studio.
Click on the "File" menu and select "Share".
In the "Share" dialog, select "Get link".
In the "Get link" dialog, select the "Specific people" option and enter the email address of the user you want to connect.
Click on the "Create link" button to generate a link.
Copy the generated link and paste it into a text editor.
Look for the "appid" parameter in the link, which should look something like this:

"https://apps.powerapps.com/play/{appid}?..."

Add the parameter you want to pass to the end of the URL, preceded by an ampersand "&" character. For example, if you want to pass a "request number" parameter, the URL would look something like this:

"https://apps.powerapps.com/play/{appid}?requestnumber=1234..."

Save the modified link and send it to the user you want to connect.

When the user clicks on the link, the app should open with the parameter you passed. To debug the app, you can use the "Connect user" feature of the monitor to connect to the user's session and see what is going wrong with the app when the parameter is passed.
