Why is my flow staying in an infinite loop?

Essentially, I have the below columns in my SP list:

The 1st column titled "APC/Provider Name" is a people column so if anyone on that column has a status of 'Meeting Completed' in the "Feedback Status" column AND their "Survey Sent" column is blank, I want them to be sent an email. Then, once that email is sent, I would like for the "Survey Sent" field to automatically be populated with the date in which the email is sent. Is this possible? Below is my flow, but I keep getting a warning that something in it will trigger an infinite loop.

Also, I'm building it as an automate flow. Should it be scheduled instead?

perhaps the 2nd condition you're setting is not correct (the one in regards to your survey sent column).

because your trigger is when an item is updated and after this condition results to true you also update an item in that same list - thus triggering the flow again.

instead try if one of these approaches works for you:

either checking if the colum content is null OR if the length of the column content is less than 1.

Hi @the_dude thanks for the insight, so I removed that second condition and now only have the below 2 remaining

but when I did that, I was prompted to edit an input so the flow could attempt to run and when I created an input that should trigger the flow to run, I got this message

perhaps I wasn't clear in what I meant. What I meant was for you to try replacing that 2nd condition (the one your replaced) with one of the conditions in my screenshot.

not sure why you'd be getting that error on the trigger now.  I would expect to see this error if the flow triggers in regards to an item where a mandatory field is empty.

ok sorry @the_dude i completely misread / misunderstood your initial reply! thanks for clarifying - is this what you meant? Although it seems I'm still misunderstanding because it still failed 😞
