Everyone Must Approve - dynamic content for Responses Comments resulting in unwanted apply to each

Hello,

I am using the "Everyone Must Approve" automated cloud flow in PA which currently includes two approvers (though I may want this to increase to 3+ approvers).

When a request is rejected (e.g., "Outcome - does not contain - Reject" is False) I "Send an Email" that includes the dynamic content of the approver's "Responses Comments" back to the requestor. Because I have multiple approvers, PA automatically adds an "Apply to Each" condition when I add in the "Responses Comments" dynamic content to the body of the email I am sending because it needs to "Responses Comments" for the multiple approvers. This ultimately results in the requestor getting a separate email with each individual approvers "Responses Comments" regardless of response (e.g., approver X approves, but approver Y rejects, then requestor gets two emails - one from the approver X with their "Responses Comments" and one from approver Y with theirs).

How would I go about ensuring only one email is sent back to the requestor anytime a request is rejected (e.g., "Outcome - does not contain - Reject" is False) with only the "Responses Comments" from the approver who has rejected the request included in the body of that email?

If I can avoid having to create a SharePoint list just to store the individual approvers "Responses Comments", that is preferred.

Many thanks!

JC

    Hi @ConnorJM ,

You can use Filter array with Select and create HTML table actions:

    Hello @v-jefferni !

Thanks for picking this one up. This works well, except for the fact that I want to send the "Reject" email to the person who originally triggered the flow by submitting a Form response (so from "Responders Email"). Currently, the operation above sends the email to the approver. How would I go about redirecting the Reject email to the person submitting the form and not the approver?

    Kindly,

    JC

@v-jefferni , thanks again for your response!

I used your same basic logic, but added the requestor's email to the Select component then changed the expression in the subsequent Send An Email component to

body('Select')[0]?['Requestor'] and this worked perfectly. Thanks again!
