When an Item is created or modified is runing twice when the item is created

Hi, I have the following flow:

I just want that when a sharepoint Item is updated, the flow posts a message in teams, and it also modifies the description on that item's task in Planner.

The big issue I have is that the flow is running twice when an item in sharepoint is created and I don't know why.

    Hi @Anonymous

Do you update the item in the flow anywhere?  You should be able to see in the history of the trigger body the changes between the two runs.  If you are looking for a specific change i.e. a particular field get's populated, you could create a trigger condition which is part of the trigger settings and it would limit when your trigger could run but if the condition is still met for both runs, it doesn't solve your problem. Another thing to look at, if you have version history enabled, is to check the version history of the item and see what changes have been recorded on the item itself.

    Cheers

@Anonymous the simplest solution to this is to have two flows: one when item is created and one when item is modified.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

I've just realised after reading @jinivthakkar comment that you are just looking for the flow to trigger on modified and not created.

Therefore the following trigger would be better suited (when an item or file is modified), i.e. it won't run when it is created.

thank you! I tried that one before and it didn't work, so I tried to use this one.... but now I tried again using the one that is just for modified items and it worked (don´t know why it didn't before... seems to be that I learnt something trying the other way haha).. thanks a lot!
