Approval Workflow - "Sent by" in Teams

Hi all,

I have created a simple workflow in Power Automate that takes: a submitted Microsoft Form > creates an item in a Microsoft List (on SharePoint page) > send it for an approval in Microsoft Teams > updates item in Microsoft List (on SharePoint page) with accepted or rejected.

No issues with the flow except at the approval stage.

When an item goes for approval the "Sent by" person always appears as my account even if someone else submitted the original form.
I am assuming this is because I am owner of the Power Automate flow and therefore I am recognised as the person who created the item in SharePoint which actually is what went for approval.

I want the "Sent by" account to be the same as the user account that submitted the form and not always coming up as me from a practicality point of view but also so I don't get notifications every time something is accepted or rejected that is not relevant to me.

Has anyone got any idea of how I can solve this issue?

Thanks

    HI,

    I have understood your scenario.

the approvals are sending from your Email ID and you need to send them by the User's Email ID right?

Your prediction is correct since you are the owner o the flow the Approval is sending by your Email ID. You can't send the Approvals by using the User's Email ID since you can't access the user's Account.

For this You can have generic Email ID like Noreply@domain.in and then you can give this Email ID in the Requestor. as shown in the image
