Send an email on behalf of a shared mailbox

Hi guys,

I am trying to build a flow where an email is triggered once the form is submitted in power apps. I want this email to be sent through a shared mailbox instead of the person's email id who is submitting the form. The issue is that I cannot provide access to every user who is using my app and submitting the form to send the email on behalf of the shared mailbox. Is there any way I can fix this issue without having to provide access to users for my shared mailbox?

I receive the following error whenever anyone submits the form:

"You are not authorized to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account."

Thanks in advance 🙂

Here is one way to approach your issue:

    1. Create a SharePoint list and allow your users access to create items
      1. Have columns for subject, body, etc.
    2. Have your Power App create an entry in the list rather than sending an email
    3. Create a Flow that runs when an item is created in the list
      1. Use the Send an email from a shared mailbox action using information from the list item

The key here is that the Flow will run as the Flow author (authors connections used by default) and not as the Power App user.

Thanks @ScottShearer I was able to execute this using your solution.
