Max length changes in CDS don't propagate to app

  • Add a text area field to an entity in the CDS.
  • Use Dynamics connector to CDS to add entity to app.
  • Add data card for text area to edit form.
  • Edit the text field in the CDS, changing the max length
  • Even after refreshing the datasource, the max length on the data card doesn't change to reflect the new max length but remains the original length. It should reflect new parameters for the field.

    Hi @dave-jorgensen ,

     

    Firstly, please try to refresh the data source from View> Data sources> Refresh.

    I just tested with CDS entity and after this the max length would change to the new setting successfully. 

     

    Secondly, if this doesn't work, please try to add the CDS entity using CDS connection directly and test again if possible to connect.

    I said i tried refreshing data source and doesn't work using dynamics connector. Not going to try using CDS connector because dynamics connector is a requirement

    Note that you're using the Common Data Service connector.

    As I listed in the description of the problem, the issue is with the Dynamics connector to CDS.
