Setting CC names / BCC names for Send an email (V2)

I was using Send an email notification (v3) in my flow.

But I found the throttle of 5 emails per 5 minutes is far below my needs.

So I am switching to Send an Email (v2).

I want to know if there is any ways I can configure the CC names and BCC names in "Send an Email (v2)" connector which is available in the previous connector I was using.

Please kindly share your wisdom, thanks.

No there is no way to have it show the display name in the email address for the CC or BCC.

    @Pstork1

    Thanks for your reply.

I know what you have mentioned about in your previous reply and I do followed them.

Sorry that may be I haven't put the question clear enough.

Let me try to illustrate it again.

Previously I used the "Mail" Connector, sending out emails to (for example) "receipent1@g.com" and then CC "123abc@teams.com", whereas "123abc@teams.com" is the email address of a teams channel. As from the figure in the first message, you can see i can fill in information in "CC Names", so I can customize what to display for the email address I write in CC (see below fig. for the illustration). It went well unless the throttle of this connector, 5 emails per 5 minutes, bother me much.

Therefore I switched to "Send an Email (v2)" connector from Office 365. As from the screenshot in my first message, there is no "CC Names" field for me to customize how the information being displayed. Since it is an email address from Teams, not in the directory, I tested and found it shows the full email address which is not nice.

What I want to ask here is, is there anyway I can add back the display names for the CC / BCC addresses.

Thanks and I look forward to the replies!

The outlook connector will only work with actual email addresses, not display names.

    For the Teams channel email.

    1) Make sure that the advaced settings for the channel will let anyone send an email to the channel

    2) Use only the actual email address, not the whole thing that you get in settings.  The red part in the sample below.

Example:  General - Public Team <7f8e60c0.acmeman.com@amer.teams.ms>

Re: Setting CC names / BCC names for Send an email (V2)

I want to add an email address of a MS Teams Channel in CC or BCC.

I tried and it is successful.

However, as you know, composition of email address of Teams Channels are like meaningless codes, I would like to custom their display names, which I found the previous connector let me to configure that.

I would like to know if there is any chances I can replace the "ugly" email address showing out when the recipient open the email.

    Thanks!

Eric, i know they are from different connectors, and I read about those limitations and throttles from related pages before. This is not what I am asking.

The only difference is that for the Send an Email (V2) you need to use people's email addresses instead of their display names. If you need to you can use Office365User's Search for user's action to search by display name to get the email address.

    Hi @ericwychan ,

The two actions you have are actually from different connectors.

The first one (in light green) is the Mail connector here and allows you send an email without Exchange Online.  The emails will come from microsoft@powerapps.com and the limits for V3 are below

The second one (in blue) is the Outlook connector here.  You will need an Outlook license.    The limits depends on your 365 licensing.
