SharePoint Online content Approval and MS Teams Approval center not sync

I've set up a document library with content approval enabled and created a Power Automate "First to respond" flow for approvals, with notifications sent to MS Teams. Everything's running smoothly, except for one issue: the approval status in SharePoint isn't syncing with the status in the MS Teams approval center.

This means that when an approval is made or rejected through the SharePoint library, the status remains as "Requested" in the Teams approval center and doesn't get updated. As a result, the approvers aren't notified that the item has been approved or rejected. However, it works the other way around if an item is approved or rejected from the Teams approval center.

How can we synchronize these two environments to allow approvers to approve items from both SharePoint and Teams, ensuring that the status is updated in both environments?

    Hello everyone,

I’ve set up a document library in SharePoint Online with Content Approval enabled and created a Power Automate “First to respond” approval flow that sends notifications through Microsoft Teams. The overall process works as expected.
However, I’m facing a significant issue:
When an approval decision is made directly in SharePoint, the status does not sync with the Microsoft Teams Approval Center. The approval request in Teams remains in the “Requested” state, and approvers do not receive any update on the final decision.
The synchronization works only in the opposite direction—if the item is approved or rejected in the Teams Approval Center, SharePoint reflects the correct status.
    My question:
Is there a way to ensure proper synchronization between SharePoint Content Approval and the Microsoft Teams Approvals module so that decisions—regardless of whether they are made in SharePoint or in Teams—are accurately updated in both environments?

If this behavior is already known:
Is there an official response, known issue, workaround, or planned update from Microsoft regarding this?
    Thank you!
