send attached documents stored in sharepoint list - create an approval sends error

Hello together,

I would like to send attachments with an approval. The attachements are stored in a sharepoint list. The crazy thing is, if I run the flow with trigger "when an item is created or modified" everything runs fine. But in my case I start the flow with " For a selected item".

    hello @Mischa2710 again 🙂

I see you are working in germany ^^

A typical problem that you describe could be a context problem. Because when you trigger a flow from a selected item it uses the context of the actually user starting it. And when it gets triggered by the change it uses the flow creators set permissions. This would explain the different behavior.

Or did you start it with the "same user"?

    With regards,

    Kevin

    Yes, I´m living in Munich.

Yes, both flows have been created and run by myself.

    Best regards,

    Michael

    Hiho @Mischa2710,

I build your flow in my environment. And when I used name and content written in lowercase it worked.

When I have writting in like you Name and Content it failed. I had another error then you but it didnt work.

Maybe you should try to write it in lowercase?

    Hi Kevin,

I had time to try your proposal. Unfortunately without success 😞

    Hey @Mischa2710

sorry for my absence. I have a lot of stuff to do in the last days.

Could you do me one favor? could you create a variable array where you save the filecontent and filename in the object and then add it to the attachments inside the approval action?

If it fails I would like to see the run information. Show me the attachment array variable and the input of the approval action and of course the error. Cause it it is definatly working, but there seems to be something else blocking your intended steps.

    With regards
    Kevin
