Unable to edit a desktop flow

Hello Everyone,

Currently the flows we created are with schema V2, when we migrate the solution from dev to prod(managed solution) these flows are non editable.
 
I did see that with the new schema, as part of best practice, it is blocked, i'm looking for alternatives on how to edit the flows? is there any way we could create a custom role to edit flows or any help is appreciated.

    Not sure- whether enabling customization for desktop could help to edit components in managed solutions within unmanaged layer ?
