Automated cloud flow - user response trigger

Hi,

I am trying to build a Automated cloud flow where a Microsoft lists integrated with Power apps would be sent to 4 to 5 users who will input the data in that in the sequential order.

When the first user input the data and save the list form, it goes to other user through email action step and when it goes to other user ,the flow does not wait for the user to input and flow will run and goes to the next user.

I need support in building the flow in such a way that the flow should wait for the user to input the data and it should be updated the lists and then it should to other user with that updated data.

Appreciate your support.

Thank you.

@sam_27 please try trigger conditions, break one flow into multiple smaller flows and have trigger conditions, this might work

    Hi,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I tried the different triggers but it didn't help.

Just let me clarify again, I am just trying to build a flow to send a Microsoft list to 3 or 4 different users who fills the data in their respective sections sequentially.

If the users are collaborating on one list item at a time, you can:

    1. Add a Choice progress column to represent which stage of the data input process they are at.
    2. Add a Switch Control Action after the list item is created or modified.

The value in the equals part of the switch would be have to be between "". Use the default case for error handling and sending an email to yourself of the run details.

    Hope this suits your needs.

    Edit:

Make sure quick edit is off in the list settings or else your users will get an email for every single column that was edited.

Also, this flow allows users to send the items back and forth depending on the status chosen. If this is a problem then you can update the status in the flow after sending the emails instead of having the column user editable.

I would advise against that because you would need a condition before the flow starts to tell whether it was a user or system trigger. That is another rabbit hole in and of itself.
