Zebra TC57 hardware built-in scanner input question

Good morning,|

I have a question regarding our Zebra TC57 scanner input.

My app has a gallery with items from a collection filled by a flow and an inputfield.

When you select the item in the gallery you want to update and then select the inputfield and use the built-in scanner the selected record gets updated with the scanned item. (added/updated)

- Is it possible to capture the scanner input and redirect it to the inputfield without selecting it first?
I want to select another record in the gallery and just keep scanning.

- Is it possible to disable the android keyboard for specific inputfields?

And maby let it popup somehow if i do want to enter something manually?

Best regards,

Stephen

did you find a solution to this?

i’m building an inventory app for Zebra TC52. I’m wondering if there’s a way to capture the intent outputs from DataWedge.

    Hi.

First of all you need to set the property "Send ENTER key" in datawedge.

You have one under Keystroke output --> basic data formatting and one under Intent output --> Basic data formatting. (in our case i selected Profile0 (default) first)

In the app itself i put a SetFocus on the onselect from the gallery items so when i select an item from it it automatically goes to the input field so i can scan.
If you don't have a gallery where you have to select an item you can simply reset your inputfield and keep scanning.

    Hope this helps.
