I have built a flow which creates a SharePoint List from the responses submitted by a MS Form. The flow then creates task in Planner.

This works fine , the issue I have is regarding updating the Notes and/or Comments on the planner tasks. The flow action "Create a task" has the option for 25 different colours, but not to update either of the fields needed.

Hey!

To update the notes and description of the task, you need to use the "update task details" step. See the screenshot below:

Use the dynamic content from the previous step to reference the same Task ID.

Hi @conoromara I had seen this and was a bit puzzled which fields needed updating.

I have added the dynamic content into the flow now and it's working great Thanks

@conoromara question what you have inserted in the Reference resource link ? Is there a way to write a comment from Power Automate flow ?

In that particular flow, I have the reference link to a list on SharePoint where attachments are stored. It allows the user to jump to the information quickly and for planner to act as a workflow for the SharePoint list.

As far as I am aware, you cannot have power automate comment on tasks however I have not attempted it.
